Former Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton has suggested Ludwig Augustinsson is not Unai Emery’s type of player.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Villa and Tottenham right-back said Augustinsson is not the kind of player who will help them progress in the league.
On Sunday (4 December), sources told this site that the Midlands club are planning to let the 28-year-old leave at the end of the season.

The left-back joined the Villans in July on a season-long loan deal from Sevilla and has struggled to oust first choice Lucas Digne.
Villa have no plans to offer the defender a permanent deal and are assessing their options for finding an alternative next season.
Hutton insisted Villa need to find an alternative.
“Obviously I think it is a position where they needed strengthening,” he told Football Insider.
“They have got Digne there but they need back-up as well. This comes from a different manager who was in charge at the time. Obviously Unai Emery has been in, he has been able to evaluate his squad and where he needs to strengthen.
“That is obviously a position where he feels that needs to happen.
“There is no point in continuing it on if you do not see a future for that player. They will have other targets. It is not ideal for the player or the club but these things happen in football.
“To get to the higher end of the league they need to strengthen.“
