Aston Villa have offered striker Keinan Davis a new three-year contract, Football Insider can reveal.
The Midlands giants have made a move to keep hold of the 22-year-old rather than risk losing him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
A Villa source has told Football Insider that Dean Smith has given the green light for Davis to be handed a two-year extension to his current deal.
This site exclusively revealed back in April that Villa had triggered an option to keep Davis at the club for a further 12 months, until the summer of 2021.
That was subsequently confirmed by the Midlands giants ahead of the front man’s previous contract expiring in June.
Villa have subsequently signed Ollie Watkins for an initial £28million rising to a potential £33m.
