Aston Villa will recoup “top dollar” for Matty Cash further down the line if he puts pen to paper on a new contract.
That is according to ex-Premier League goalkeeper and new Football Insider columnist Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively after The Athletic‘s David Ornstein reported that Villa are ready to offer the right-back a new deal.
He has enjoyed a standout debut season, featuring 24 times for Dean Smith’s side expectation-defying side.
Villa have already handed new contracts to Tyrone Mings, Jack Grealish and John McGinn in 2020-21.
And Kenny insists that opening talks with Cash would be a smart move and ensure maximum resale value in the future.
