Darren Bent believes that new Aston Villa signing Bertrand Traore will be a big upgrade on the other wingers at Dean Smith’s disposal.

Villa confirmed the capture of the 25-year-old from Olympique Lyonnais on Saturday morning but he was ineligible for Saturday’s game against Sheffield United.

He joined the likes of Jack Grealish and Jota as other wide options currently on the club’s books.
Bent insists that Villa needed to improve on their goal-scoring record this season and suggests that Traore’s arrival can help solve the issue in attack.
Asked if Traore would offer an upgrade on Villa’s current wing options, Bent told Football Insider: “Yeah, they let them down – Traore struggled at Chelsea a little bit but did well at Lyon.
