Exclusive: Aston Villa have ‘Concrete’ interest in signing speed machine

Aston Villa have a “concrete” interest in signing Villarreal attacker Samuel Chukwueze in January, sources have told Football Insider.

This site revealed earlier this month (10 November) that the Midlands giants want to sign a top-class forward capable of operating across the front line in the upcoming window.

Villa have set their sights on Chukwueze, who Unai Emery knows well from his time at Villarreal, and are keeping close tabs on his situation.

It is said their interest is “concrete” as Villa do their background checks on the player.

The Spanish boss is also keen to lure Pau Torres from Villarreal as he looks to bring in a new centre-back.

Emery has won both of his league games in charge of his new side, most recently disposing of Brighton 2-1 at the Amex (13 November).
