Liverpool’s home form has been so bad, even manager Jurgen Klopp can’t believe it!
The Reds went into their clash against Aston Villa having lost their last six home league matches.

In fact, they hadn’t tasted a home league victory since beating Tottenham in December but that barren run came to an end on Saturday as they beat the Villans 2-1.
Klopp was understandably in buoyant mood after the late win but couldn’t help but address the terrible recent record his side had.
Before an interview with the club’s media, Klopp asked the reporter: “When was the last game we did an interview after we won here [Anfield]?”
The reporter replied: “Spurs, before Christmas.”
A laughing Klopp then said: “Before Christmas?! Really? It was Spurs…”
Liverpool will definitely need to win their next home match if they want to stay in the Champions League as they look to overturn a 3-1 deficit against Real Madrid.
Optimistic Reds fans will refer back to Liverpool’s stunning comeback against Barcelona en route to winning their sixth European crown in 2019, which saw them overturn an even bigger deficit of 3-0 on a magical night at Anfield.
However, Klopp has warned this comeback shouldn’t be taken for granted, adding that the lack of fans will make Liverpool’s task on Wednesday night all the more difficult.
“When you are 3-1 down, it looks like we are already out. It means we have not a lot to lose so we will give it a try – that’s the job we have to do,” he said.
“It’s a result which showed the performance on the night: when they were better than us and we were not as good as we should have been or could have been but it is the first half.
“The idea is to win the game (on Wednesday night). If that will end up in a comeback I have no idea, but I never had before.
“We have to bring ourselves in a mood and we start believing in that again. If we can see it is possible then we have a chance but it is still incredibly difficult.
“We cannot just take comebacks for granted, especially not without a crowd in the stadium. We have to create our own atmosphere for this game.
“We will not do that (on Tuesday), constantly telling the boys whatever kind of stories. We have (Wednesday), a full day. One session in the morning and a full day to prepare us from an atmosphere point of view.
“The situation is clear, that’s why this competition is so interesting. The away goals count different so it makes it really exciting.
“We should not concede and if we can create more, and that should be possible, then we will see what we get in the end.
“The (first-leg) result is a problem, the quality of the opposition is a problem and that the stadium is empty is a problem also.”
