Aston Villa are unlikely to face any Premier League bans over their new sponsorship deal with gambling company BK8.
That is the opinion of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about the ongoing debate around gambling sponsorships in the Premier League.
As many as eight top-flight clubs have gambling sponsorships as their front-of-shirt partner this season.

Villa were previously partnered with Cazoo on a £6million-per-season deal, but the Premier League outfit is set to earn double their existing agreement in their new partnership.
Villa faced backlash from fans over the agreement, but held a crisis meeting and have refused to abandon their deal.
The BBC reported last month (21 February) that the government looks likely to agree a deal with the Premier League which would see gambling sponsors banned.
The official government review – which is set to publish in the coming weeks – is not expected to introduce a ban, but the Premier League are expected to agree to voluntary sponsorship changes.
“Whatever the merits or demerits of front-of-shirt gambling sponsorships in football, it’s unlikely that the government and the Premier League will try to force through a ban on shirt deals,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.
“There is advertising for gambling across all forms of media.
“Banning and targeting gambling sponsorships on football shirts would be tokenism at its best.
“It wouldn’t address any of the broader issues with regard to the business practices of the gambling industry in sport.
