Alex McLeish has lauded the “stability” at Aston Villa after Tyrone Mings and Jack Grealish committed their futures to the club.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Villa manager insists the centre-back has been a “fabulous buy” and has contributed enormously to the strong spine of the side.
The Villans confirmed on Monday that the 27-year-old had signed a new long-term contract extension set to keep him tied down until 2024.

The defender has followed in Grealish’s footsteps after the attacking talisman put pen to paper on a five-year deal earlier this month.
McLeish believes the duo are two players the club need to continue to build around and insists their new deals at Villa Park offer some much-needed stability.
McLeish told Football Insider: “Defenders are always seen as they’ve got to be the most consistent.
