Alex McLeish has tipped Jack Grealish to earn Aston Villa “a fortune” after he put pen to paper on a new five-year deal.
The former Villa and Scotland manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, has lauded the 24-year-old’s new contract as a “good bit of business” for the Villans.
Villa confirmed on Tuesday that the attacking midfielder and club captain had committed himself to a deal which is set to run until 2025 despite having three years left on his old terms.

Grealish was Villa’s standout performer last season as he scored eight goals and chipped in with six assists in the league to help Dean Smith’s men pull off a late escape from relegation.
McLeish admits he could not see the boyhood star leaving Villa before the end of the window and insists the new deal could see the club pick up a mega transfer windfall.
Asked if he was surprised by the new deal, McLeish told Football Insider: “I honestly couldn’t see Jack leaving so early. So, five-year deal, what does that mean?
