Mills reveals "big issue" facing Grealish

Danny Mills has claimed Jack Grealish may have nowhere to go this summer even if he does wish to leave Aston Villa.

The former Leeds and Manchester City full-back, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, suggested that all of the ‘top clubs’ in England either did not need the 24-year-old or could not afford him.

Sky Sports claim that Arsenal have registered their interest in the attacking midfielder but have so far failed to follow up on that enquiry.

The report states that Villa, who narrowly avoided relegation on Sunday, have slapped an £80million price tag on their captain.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for the Englishman but Mills is adamant that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not need any more midfielders.

“The big concern for Grealish is where he goes if he does leave,” he told Football Insider.

“Manchester United are not looking for a player in that position with Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba. They do not need to fill that void.

“Does he go to City? No. Liverpool? No. Tottenham can’t spent that much money. His options are more limited than people think.

“It also depends what he wants. He may still want to be the big fish, be the captain and be the main man at a club. That is what some individuals want.”

Grealish made 41 appearances last season yielded 10 goals and eight assists – more than any other player at Villa in both categories.

His goal on the final day of the season against West Ham secured Dean Smith another year in the Premier League.
