Aston Villa are already talking to transfer targets as Unai Emery looks to revamp his squad in January.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Villains’ January plans.
Emery, 51, is looking to reshape his squad in January after overseeing two wins from his first two league games as Villa boss.

McManus is certain that conversations with January targets have already taken place.
“Transfers will be the priority for Villa now,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“When you get a manager like Unai Emery, you have to let him build his own squad as soon as possible. So that will start in January.
“I imagine Villa are already hard at work, talking to agents, players, whoever. They need to get a head start on a few teams and now they have Emery, that’s a huge pull for a player.
“I don’t think they will be scared to spend big money. They did it for Gerrard and Smith so you have to do it for Emery.
“I think they might be the league’s busiest club in January, in and outs as Emery makes his own squad. I don’t think it will be a gradual thing.
“I think it will happen rapidly. As I say, I’m sure those conversations have taken place.
“Sounding out players’ interest and stuff like that.
“That’s just how clubs operate.”
