Darren Bent believes that John Terry will have played a big part in getting Bertrand Traore to sign for Aston Villa.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Villa and England striker suggests that the 25-year-old was not even on the club’s radar when the transfer window opened but that a deal presented itself over the summer.
Villa confirmed over the weekend that the Burkina Faso international had put pen to paper on a four-year contract to move from Olympique Lyonnais.

Traore and Terry shared a dressing room during their time together at Chelsea before they both left Stamford Bridge in 2017.
Bent believes that the winger will be a much better player now than he was with the Blues and that the Villa assistant manager will have helped get a deal over the line.
Bent told Football Insider: “I’m sure John Terry spoke to him and helped him out with where to go and all that.
