Alan Hutton claims that Aston Villa will “definitely look” at signing Bournemouth striker Josh King before the end of the domestic transfer window.
The former Villa and Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, insists that the 28-year-old would be a “great addition” to the Villans’ squad if the price is right.
Football Insider revealed last month that Villa are keen to add King to their squad despite Ollie Watkins’ arrival and that they had a £16million bid turned down by Bournemouth.
The Villans still have nine days before the domestic transfer window, which allows Premier League sides to deal exclusively with EFL clubs, to sign the 28-year-old.
Hutton admits that with just Ollie Watkins and Keinan Davis as the squad’s only senior centre-forwards, Villa could do with another striker and that King would fit the bill perfectly.
Hutton told Football Insider: “The window’s open to the 16th, something like that. He’d be a great addition.
