Robinson tips three players to leave if relegated

Paul Robinson has tipped Jack Grealish and John McGinn to be ‘the first two to be sold’ if Aston Villa suffer relegation this week.

The former Spurs and Leeds United goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, fears there will be a “fire sale” at Villa Park if they return to the Championship at the first time of asking.

Villa could be relegated tonight if they lose to Arsenal and Watford pick up a point against Manchester City.

Football Insider understands that Everton are interested in Mings and a £30million offer would likely be enough to seal a deal where Dean Smith’s side to go down.

John McGinn is a target for Newcastle United this summer, according to the Daily Record, while Jack Grealish has been continually touted with a move to Old Trafford.

“If Aston Villa go down they will get asset stripped. They spent a lot of money last season and they would need to balance the books, wage bill included.

“If they go down they will lose Jack Grealish, John McGinn and potentially Tyrone Mings.

“There will be a fire sale and McGinn and Grealish will be the first two to go. They will both command lucrative fees along with Tyrone Mings.”

McGinn has spent much of the season on the sidlines for the Claret and Blue but Steve Bruce is a big admirer of the player from his time in at Villa Park.

Mings and Grealish have been Villa’s outstanding player’s this season but are also among the club’s highest earners and they may be sacrificed for financial reasons.
